Tin cans from the driver side

Asked by Lollimomma Jun 29, 2020 at 02:26 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just cleaned my throttle body with the appropriate
spray for my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer.  Now when I
start the truck up it sounds like tin cans from the
driver side. Once I get going in speed it sounds like
a ticking sound

I wonder if you damaged the catalytic converter and now it is rattling. I would first check under the car to see if it is a heat shield rattle.

Any way to upload a video or pic of where the noise is coming from? Did you hook the little curly hose back up underneath the plastic resonator? (Says Vortech on it)

Guess we can't upload videos. Gosh without hearing it, hard to diagnose. The heat shield the other poster suggested is on the passenger side, so can't be that. At this point, we're guessing.
