my 2007 ford f-150 4.2 starts sometimes and then nothing when you turn the key then turn iot one or two times more then it start untill now it would not turn over the starter is not clicking

i had someone turn the key when i was by the motor i could here a slight almost click but not from starter i could hardly hear it I clean battery cables and had it towed. then i turn the key and it started
what could it be

Ignition switch? Look up tests for it before replacing Are you hearing a relay sound from the box? Bad relay?
