My 2002 Saturn s1L

Our car is not starting unless we
push the throttle down, and
sometimes doesn't even start then,
but if we leave it alone for 5ish
minutes it'll start up. Once it's
started it runs quite well, except it
revs itself sometimes.

Try cleaning the throttle body with throttle body cleaner also may want to add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to your gas tank and also check your throttle position switch.

Also, ECT Sensor will cause speradic idling in the engine because its failing to read properly and the engine idles at certain rpms based off of the temp for proper operation.
