02 Saturn SL lights behind gauges are blown out, how do i fix this?oh and sparkplug issue

02SaturnSL, lights behind dash are blown out. How do i change the bulbs? Do i remove dash? If so do i need any specific tools so i dont break anything?
And the sparkplugs, if one doesnt sound like its firing good do i remove it and reinstall or get all new ones? It has been about a year since i replaced plugs and wires..

get all new plugs. i suggest copper NGK's because saturns don't seem to like the platinum plugs. look at the old spark plugs and see if they look bad cause there could b another reason that they are not firing good besides the plugs. i dont know about the dash though

well i installed the plugs myself last year and it was my first time.. i couldve easily done something wrong. im not the mechanic i wanta be..

as for the lights,just remove the cluster and replace the bulbs,also check to see if a fuse is blown,yes replace all plugs and plug wires,it could also be a dirty fuel injector,run a can of fuel injector cleaner in a tank of gas first.

ALSo change you fuel filter And air filter it can make it ran like it is missing. Also if you what your motor to last a long time change your oil and filter every 3000 to 5000 miles. Make shry you don't over fill it. Evry 2nd oil change put new plugs in. On 4 oil ghange do air, fuel, plugs and wires. you ment have a bad coil also. I had one that it was missing on one plug. If it is change both. Also never change one plug it will run bad and you run a choice burning a hole in you piston. And this is what I do to my car and it has 250,000 mile one it. and I run shut out of it. If its not get any spark on one it will should like a bad valve

what the hell,every 2nd oil change change the plugs,what the hay day you saying,plugs dont need to be changed but once every 60,000 miles,if you changing yours that often,get some oil burners screw them inplug holes then install the plugs,how many qrts of oil do you put in it each day.same on plug wires 60 to 80,000 miles,air filter at every oil change,and its every 3 months or 3,000 miles. WHERE DO THESES PLP COME FROM.

I have a Saturn 1992 SL Sedan with 164,000 miles. I am having a major problem with the car cutting off while I am driving at a fairly constant speed or when I am idling at a stop light. The engine will shut off, along with the power steering and all other electronics. This happens when at a stop light only after I press on the gas to accelerate from a dead stop, but I am able to put the car in neutral and start the car again (sometimes it takes a while to restart). We tried getting the electronic control module repaired, but this did not fix the problem. We checked the oil and it appears to be of the correct viscosity for the engine. We are at our ends as to what needs to be done to fix this dire problem. Thank you for your time! 8 Answers
