Wherever your control is for your instrumentation lighting that makes it Go brighter or dimmer if you go all the way brighter on it it should pop on your interior lights it should be a selectable switch on the dash somewhere I can't remember where it is.

The other thing is to on the actual Dome Light itself there's a selectable switch that turns the light on turns it too when you open the door or off so make sure your selectable switch is turned on to when you open the door and it comes on

Doesn't seem to be a switch like you describe. There is a consul like box with a cover that opens to put sun glasses etc. Has 2 built in dome lights with a push button on each light. Both lights completely dead. Switches do nothing.

Have tried the switch on the dash to make dash lights go brighter. No luck with dome light

I remember on my 2002 SC2 Saturn it was a little knob on the left side near the headlight switch a big knob, and you would turn it to clockwise and it would brighten up the dash lights I don't know if you have other ones but that's what I would try to turn it up if you have that type of switch ? if you're pushing buttons and lights don't activate then that means you probably have a fuse issue check your fuses in addition if you don't have the knob good luck
