SOURCE OF OIL LEAK ON MY 2000 SATURN SL1 SOHC

THE LEAK IS COMING FROM THE FRONT [BELT] SIDE OF THE
MOTOR BUT THE BELT IS SLINGING THE OIL EVERYWHERE. IS
THERE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE MOTORS AND WHERE
SHOULD I LOOK FIRST. I GO THROUGH A QQUART EVERY TWO
WEEKS.

If its a top of motor it is cam seal...bottom of motor is crank seal

Cam seal in most can be replaced fairly easy..but crank seal is a major job.

Top cam seal can be repaired by removing valve cover remove cam pulley and its right there for the taking ,take small screw driver pry out replace new one...Crank seal you have remove the crank ,maybe pull motor to do it.

Try consolidating all of your random comments into one post, "Top"ShadeTree. The leak is most likely coming from the valve cover. Spray the area down with carb/brake clean and track down the leak. However, most of your oil is probably being burnt, as Saturns are well known for consuming oil due to stuck oil control rings. Even if you do find the leak, you'll discover it will only reduce the oil loss by a small amount.
