Coolant Temp and Engine Power lights

Recently when In drive, sometimes the coolant
temp light and the engine power decrease lights
flash together. It doesn't happen consistently but it
always seems to happen when I'm accelerating
after braking hard. Any reasons this could be
happening? The car doesn't seem to be running
badly or overheating.
