Door Seals

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It's common knowledge to Saturn owners that the 1990's SL's have leaks in the door seals. I have a 1994 Saturn SL 4DR 1.9L 4cyl SOHC automatic with a little less than 145,000 miles. I have tried everything from silicone to oxygen tubing, to having the dealer replace the seal and tighten the door. Anyone have any other suggestions...? Cause the seals still leak!!

The only solution I've found effective is: don't spray at the door cracks at the car wash. If rain is also getting in, you might be able to negate the effects by putting plastic on the seats to prevent wet pants along with a chemical dehumidifier to absorb moisture and prevent molding.

Maybe a 'makeshift' rain guard over the top of the windows? Using metal cutting shears you could cut to form, or shape it the way you like and use a metal cement to secure it above the door? It might jst deflect the rain enough to stop the leaks. https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/78803988
