1992 Saturn SL issues starting, idling low HELP!:(

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1992 Saturn SL, it has had issues in
the past, for example the clutch went out; I
had that replaced. Now last night I had
issues starting the car but it eventually did
start, 10 minutes after the hard start up, I
parked and pretty much 5 minutes after that
I tried to start it again and it would not start
no matter what for about 30 minutes. Which
the only way I was able to get it going  was
holding the gas  all the way down at 15
second intervals twice . Now today I had no
issues up until the later evening when I tried
to start the car it took a few times of holding
the gas all the way down again  to get it
finally going. Then it was idling extremely
low and would stall out if I didn't have my
foot on the gas (even as I was going
40mph), which is a pretty hard when it's a
manual. What could be the issue. It's not
making a clicking sound and the battery isn't
dead nor is it the terminals for the battery.
