gear shift will not come out of park

Asked by Trinaengel Aug 28, 2018 at 05:59 PM about the 2003 Saturn L-Series 4 Dr L200 Sedan

The car is sitting on the level, the car starts the
wheel turns the brakes work, I have push down on
the front end, I have sat on the tailgate and push
the car back and forth, but I cannot push the
button into shift the car out of park

I am having the same problem with my 98 Saturn SC2. I took the center counsel off and lubed all parts with WD40. Seemed to work at least temporarily. Did you get your problem resolved? If so, what was the remedy?
