What is the red light the flashes. When my car gets
hot I put coolant I n still gets way hot 1998 Saturn
sl also is there. A secndary fan

Some vehicles have one cooling fan and others two if you just see one fan when looking underneath the hood of your vehicle you just have one. The overheating most likely cause is a stuck closed thermostat. There maybe be other causes but start there first. Also is the fan coming on ?

You say you put coolant in it. ..... is this ongoing and are you seeing the coolant leak out or signs of steam escsping.
