We put a new fuel pump on and it won't start, the fuel rail won't charge it's not getting gas

new fuel filter also...right....is there 12 volts to the pump???

they told us at napa that there is no filter on that van.

Often times in this situation, we find that it is the fuel filter obstructing flow just after the pump, but given the fact that you have no pressure at the fuel rail, with a new pump and no fuel filter in the system, it could be a solid obstruction in the fuel lines consisting of coagulated varnish from the gasoline and any dirt the fuel pump may have sent down the line. Try removing the fuel lines from the fuel rail and as well from the fuel pump, and carefully blasting the line clear with compressed air. Perform this task in a well ventilated, spark free environment with all proper safety goggles and personal protective equipment. Remember to always use extra caution when working on fuel systems, as accidents can be catastrophic to both the serviceman and the vehicle, as well as any spectators.
