Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Changed plugs and wires, the light came

Compression tested, new coil pack, no

Did they use scanner,or just remove battery cable?

A scanner...all the connections were all good, it was reset through that in between each change to the car.

Sound,s like there may be a bad sensor, giving the ecm the false reading,or the ecm will not release the code, give me a few minute,s to do a little research on the sensor,s that would cause this,i love a challenge.

Ok,may have answer for you,It,s going to be,the camshaft sensor,or crank shaft sensor,if car is not skipping, and you have no sign of it running bad, just that engine light, check these ,i think they may help solve your mistery.

It will throw a misfire code, and fool the ecm in to thinking that, instead it will be one of them, that is bad,i say this only because you are running ok.

Really...well after talking in person to about 8 mechanics and no one having any input as to what to do next, that's the best answer I've heard...at least I know where to look next.
