I have a 2007 Chrysler PT Crusier and the check engine light came on and my car died., but the engine wants to turn over. I don't know much about cars. I just bought this car two days ago.

It could be the cam sensor. Get the car scanned. You can pick a scan tool up very cheap these days. (The P/T doesn't have to be running to check the engine codes) Then let us know the codes and we can go from there.
