How to test of sensors on 1995 Chevy lumina

Chi engine light comes on for so long, and later goes off on its own. Motor either surges,
or kinda misses every couple of strokes or so.

it does not surge if it is knocking because of premature ignition you do not have the right octane level fuel. it would seem to shake for a misfire because it drags the piston down and up that is dead
