I have a early 2007 Yukon which I need to install a brake controller. No harness was supplied by GMC. Is there a cable I need to install? What was the purpose of changing it ?

Hi dgob! Sounds like you are fixin' to haul something. The controller will help to coordinate the braking system, including any braking assistance in whatever you are hauling. The new controller should either come with a harness or you should be able to get one through it's dealer. Good luck!

Pigtail harness is located under dash already. Just need to locate it and hook your controller to it. There was a tech bulliten issued about it.
