Spectra5 ECU fuse burning out no fuel

Asked by Jul 07, 2017 at 03:47 PM about the 2006 Kia Spectra Spectra5

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Kia, Spectra5. It died while I was driving it. I
pushed it to a nearby parking lot. Tried starting it. It turns
over but won't actually start firing on the cylinders. I
checked every fuse in both fuse boxes. I found a burnt out
ECU fuse (inside fuse box). Every time I replace the ECU
fuse it burns out and I assume that I have a bad ground
somewhere.
I've checked the inertial switch, replaced the fuel pump and
checked the pump grounding wire. I'm running out of things
to check.
