Water in Valley

Asked by Hbischoff1 Feb 24, 2018 at 02:59 PM about the 2006 Kia Sorento LX 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has a serious water leak. Pours
down over the transmission and onto the
ground. We have checked all lines, hoses
and rings, everything is good. So we pulled
the top intake off and down in the Valley
there is a lot of water. We can’t seem to
figure out where it’s coming from. Any
suggestions?

Any coolant pipes running into a head? Any sensors in the valley?

Is it possible that the water pump has failed and the water and coolant is going out the back of the water pump into the “Valley”?
