Will a crank shaft sensor cause fuel pump not to work

No. Crank shaft position sensors primarily generate signal for ignition spark. If your fuel pump doesn't run, it could be the fuel pump fuse, relay, inertia switch (after a collision), or the pump itself. Also check for clogged fuel filter, loose/corroded connectors.
