Got a 1995 chevy blazer replaced the plugs im
getting spark, getting fuel, and all vaccum lines are
connected and my truck isnt starting what could it
be?

Try squirting some starting fluid in it to see if it starts.

You said you have spark so what is left is a fuel issue. If you squirt some starting fluid in it to try and start it and it starts, that tells me something. Possible leaking spider injectors, or a bad fuel pump.

So then it has to be a electrical problem. Did you notice what color the spark was? It should be white/blueish in color. Not orange.

I have tbi and it was blue and they spray sometimes like it will spray once then next time we try to crank it wont spray anything

Ok. For that year 1995 4.3L Blazer shows MPFI. But no biggy. A nice blue spark and spraying starting fluid or putting some gas down the TBI it should have started. I am back to thinking it is a fuel issue. Help me out here.

You need to verify the fuel pressure. The fuel regulator in the TBI may be weak. There is a big spring in there. Fuel pressure should be 9 to 13 lbs.

How would i tell without having a fuel pressure tester?

It should fire up when spraying some starting fluid down the TBI and run until all the starting fluid is burnt up. You have a top notch spark, you can't beat a white/blueish spark. Unless the timing has ben moved or there is no compression in the cylinders, it should start with some starting fluid. You could still check the timing with a timing gun even tho it does not run.

No im being dead serious im use to timing with the veichle running not with out it being able to run

Ok, ben at this all day, beginning to not read in-between the lines. So yea, just hook up your timing light like you normally do, have someone inside cranking it over, and look at the timing marks with the timing light. You may want to put some yellow or white marks on the timing marks so you can see them better.

Man you could have saved a lot of time if you had told me everything. So is the distributor planted right now? This is why it is not starting. Once you get the dizzy in correctly, she'll fire off on its own.

Do you know how to set the dizzy? If not I will explain. First you have to find TDC on the compression stroke. Put your finger at the spark plug hole to feel for the compression. Once you feel compression coming out of the spark plug hole, stop and use a strong arm to rotate the engine from the harmonic balancer bolt to bring the timing mark on the balance up to the timing tab. Set it at Zero. Then put in the distributor with the rotor pointing at number one tower. If everything is close enough it will start on its own. You may just have to move the distributor clockwise if shes bucking on you. I'm turning in for the night and will be back in the AM if you have any more questions.

Good morning sinless...I forgot to mention on the distributor cap, I don't know which cap is on there, but there are 2 different types. One cap has the spark plug wire towers sticking straight up. The other style the spark plug wire towers all come out horizontally. So setting the distributor in there is a difference in where the rotor would point. If you have the low profile distributor cap, I know there is a video on you tube in how to plant the dizzy. I may even have it somewhere, just let me know,

Then point the rotor at #1 tower after getting the engine up on TDC on the compression stroke when planting the dizzy.

My dad and i got it set we poured gas into the tbi and it would backfire back through the tbi

Just have to rotate the distributor to another position until she fires off. Do not take the distributor out, your getting close.

No just clockwise should work but I was thinking of the back fire you got. Double check the firing order to make sure the plug wires are wired right....

Now when im starting it its back fireing through the tbi im still getting fuel and spark still turning over like it has been

Have you moved the timing one way or the other to try to get rid of the back fire? It almost sounds like it is still 180° off. Timing is still off.

It shouldn't be back firing. I was just looking on you tube and there is all kinds of video's on how to set TDC and the placement of the distributor. Something is not right yet. It should fire right off.

Yes its running as long as im giving it has as soon as i stop it dies im thinking the fuel pressure regulator is out going to try that

You can test for that! You need a fuel pressure gauge hooked in the main line, fuel pressure should be 9 to 13 lbs like I had said before, and you find a rubber hose on the return line and pinch it off. Fuel pressure should rise up about 5 lbs. or more. They do make rebuild kits for the fuel regulator as it is in the TBI, all it is, is a big spring in there that gets weak. Also made me think here, Did you set the timing? And to do so did you unplug the brown wire so it is not running advanced when setting the timing at O°?
