what 4l60e will work in a 2001 sonoma 2.2 liter and what are the differences?

Transmission went out and i was told only a 2001 sonoma 2.2 will work.

Looks like you will have to be carefull. http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f105/what-trans-does-a-98-s10-2-2-automatic-have-385561/ Any tranny from another 2.2L truck will bolt up but aparently the wiring changed between years. Try to find one close to the correct year.
