2007 Cadillac CTS engine light is flashing.

Asked by kimmyeyes Jan 22, 2014 at 10:29 PM about the 2007 Cadillac CTS 2.8L RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took my car to the  dealship and they said it was the coils. I had it fix and now the engine light is on again. Now they are saying it's the Cadillac converted?  Now I have paid for $500  for unneed repair.  Where can I find an inexpensive cadillac converted??   I remember my dad use to by-pass the converter can I do the same on a newer car?

Ebay.. the newer vehicles are more sensitive and use the converter more to supply information back to the computer. You have to have it these days.

They do make an additive to put in your gas tank for this problem to clean out the converter. They sell it at napa.
