Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought new front hubs from Timken there different then the factory hubs these are open with spline like a 4WD hub I thought these were 4WD hubs but I compared the 4WD hub with the 2WD hub that Autozone had in stock the 2WD looks the same as the 4WD but the part number is completely different  and if you look at the 2WD hub there's no seat for the axle...Anyone replaced there hubs with these Timken style open hubs yet are these hubs safe for 2WD

1 Answer

yes they safe, the 2 wd hub is the same as the 4wd hub.even that auto zone part # is different than timken,is still same part.different manufactures.
