Why does the airbag warning light stay on

Asked by Jan 16, 2017 at 01:19 PM about the 1996 Jaguar XJ-Series XJ6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The airbag warning light is always on the car has had a front end repair and the
driver airbag has been replaced. Various garages have looked in to the problem
but can't seem to find a fault. Could there be a trapped cable near the front
causing a short?

Since the light is on, a code will be stored and will pinpoint you to the issue. Surprised that various garages can't fix it. Did you try going back to the auto body shop that originally did the fix?
