Whenever I pull up to a stop in my 1996 Chevy
Cavalier and hitter brakes and let off it holds for a
second and then I'll give it the gas and it's like it'll

it I have new pads on it

Number one, there are brake shoes on the rear with drums, drum brakes. So also there are 2 different diameter drums on the rear of those cars and you would have had to know which size shoes to get. And there is a long shoe and a short shoe. The long shoe faces the back of the car and the short shoe faces the front of the car. Did you do all this?
