Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 buick roadmaster..,,runs
great...cranks up perfect....but after 30 min of
driving...it starts putting put of the driver side
exhaust....passenger side runs smooth...,I raise the
hood and engine runs smooth no missing no
nothin....driving after a hour or 2....check engine
light comes on but when I stop it cuts off.... Could
it be the catalytic converter....or what do you guys
think....thanks in advance

It sounds as it would be your catalytic converter, sincevyoyr check engine light came on the code will ve stored in the computer, bring it to a place like auto zone they will read the car for free...

When was the last tune up done (spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and distributor rotor)? I believe you have the Opti-Spark System which means you have to remove the harmonic balancer to get to the distributor. If that's the case it's probably never had a complete tune up. HTH. -Jim
