why does the radio stays on on the buick 95 after the engine is turned of?

The radio stays on after I turned the ignition of, is this normal on a Buick Riviera 1995 model?

yes, when you open the door it will shut off. or in a few minutes after engine is turned off while still in the car.. bcm probably controlls it.

what you are talking about is RAP- retained accessory power- the radio, windows, etc. will work for up to 10 min. after you shut off the car or until you open the driver's door- then they shut off.

That and many other accessories such as the moonroof windows all qill work for approx 30 minutes until YOU OPEN THE DOOR. It is a top shelf feature. Nothing wrong.
