where is the knock sensor located on 2002 buick rendevous

The knock sensor is on the side of the block into the water jacket. But this does not fit your symptoms. It may be in the ignition switch. Sounds like your not getting power all the time. Gauges twitching also sounds like a bad ground wire somewhere.

One more question everytime it rains my floor board is wet ., I thought maybe the cluster was damaged are had a short in it.
Not likely to get wet, the windshield covers is unless it leaks from the top of the windshield. If you look underneath the dash you would notice moister somewhere under there if it was reaching the dash cluster.
