My Buick Rendezvous is spraying oil what could be wrong?

I have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous and
I have had so many problems with
this thing! anyways I was on the way
home from taking my son to work
and coming down the road and my
red(instead of the usual yellowish
color warning ⚠️ light) “low oil
pressure “ light started dinging on my
dash and when I crank it up oil
literally sprays from the front of the
motor from above the starter. It only
does it when I start it as soon as I
turn it off it stops. What could that
be?? Maybe the oil sending unit or
something?

Pretty hard to answer from here. But this is a serious problem. If can supply images, maybe we can help. Otherwise, get it to a shop ASAP. Do not drive it with low oil or you risk destroying your engine
