This helped me. From what i understand by just looking at parts o line the tranny is different. So that will need to be swapped with it. The 96 tranny is ONLY 96.
Just wondering if a 97 or 98 4.3 will bolt and wire up as a direct replacement for the 96 that's locked up.it is 4wd and vin w...thanks Pete
