1994 regal courtesy light stay on all the time

When I use the remote to unlock the doors or the trunk,the courtesy lights stays on.To turn them off I have to lock the doors with the remote,then they go off gradually as it is suppose to.
I'm trying to locate the remote receiver so I could possibly change i.On the wiring diagram that I have it tell me it is at the right A pillar. I spend all day trying to locate it but never found it.
Does anybody know anytning about that?

That's the problem, it will stay on for ever until I lock the doors with the remote.
