What is a rotor
I have squeaking when I brake what is a
rotor would I need brake fluid it had a full
service in August this year
The rotor is the shinny piece you would see threw your rims, it is a disk that when the brakes are applied the brake pads squeeze against this to stop the vehicle.
Your brake fluid is held in the master cylinder that is on the drivers side on the fire wall. You just take the top off and look inside to see if the fluid is at the proper level. There is usually a mark to fill it to.
Squeaking when you brake is probably worn or dirt brake pads. Have the brakes inspected at your local mechanic.
If you cant' cure the squeak you may need to apply Disk Brake Quiet to the back of the pad.
