Convertible top

I own a 2007 Mercedes Benz clk 350 and when i try to drop
the top, it goes down half way then says something about
the trunk, there is nothing in my trunk yet my top wont go
down, what could be the issue?

Most likely it is the sensors in the trunk. Over time they can stick or malfunction. These are just spring loaded pressure switches. When this happens - it makes the computer think there is not enough room in the trunk for the top. The SL's have the same feature. You probably have one on each side.

My guess is that it says the metal panel in the trunk is down. The metal panel has to be pulled out which makes room for the top.

On the drivers side there is a sensor for the partition, This sensor rarely goes bad but what does go bad is the pressurized shock that keeps the partition in either mode. Check that, the partition should "snap" into place and be a bit difficult to push/pull into either position.
