The bulbs were replaced last year, so I do not believe that is the problem. I
replaced the fuses and the brake light switch and they are still not working. Is
there anything else I can check on my own or is it time to take it to a
mechanic?
Someone needs to apply the brakes and test for voltage at the light bulbs. The bulbs could be burned out again and if they are the output of the alternator needs to be measured as it may be too high. If there is no voltage to the bulbs the cause of the missing voltage needs to be determined.
