The 06' Lexus GS350 is a great car. Takes pride in its luxurious category. However it is imfamous for having brake issues, the shocks, and a couple rattling noises. Lexus has made 3 recalls to attempt to fix those problems. They offer kits to improve the performance. If it has them installed, then theres not much you should worry about.

I own a 2007 GS350 and I am gearing up to purchase a newer one cause I love it so much. I had to replace the alternator after less than a year of owning it, even though the previous owner had it replaced as well. The cost of the part was almost $300 and the labor on top of that took me up to $673. My tires are due soon and they will be about $800. I also have a 2004 toyota sequoia and just replaced the alternator last year. I had a friend do the labor for free. The part with a discount was just over $250 with a rebate if I brought in my old alternator. The tires on my sequoia were also about $780. So they seem to be reasonable to repair. I bought my lexus from a really bad dealership who screwed me over, but I still love my car and want a newer one. The GS is so comfortable and well made with a great amount of speed and power. I would suggest a newer one with more features that are very convenient. Either way Lexus and Toyota's are (in my opinion) the best out there. Best of luck to you!!!
