You disassembled the engine to install new gaskets? Double check your work. Start by verifying fuel and spark to the engine.

I have and everythingis fine.my battery power is low and when I go to start it up it almost starts but once the needle touches the orange it stops and the lights turn off.

My 1999 Tahoe is doing the same, check your cables and terminals on your battery. One of my terminals are stripped so I have to go get new ones. As for the turning over but not starting, mine is also doing that and I thought it had something to do with everything having to recharge from the battery coming unhooked , usually if your voltage is low it doesn't have enough juice to start.
