97 Chevy lumina

Asked by Ineedhelphaha Sep 30, 2016 at 05:03 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina LS Sedan FWD

I have changed the water pump. Flushed the  
radiator. New coolant. And now just
changed ect sensor but while sitting car still
starts to overheat and service engine light is  
on. Fans came on once I unplugged sensor
so I changed it. Why are they not kicking on
when sitting still?
