07 GMC Acadia both high and low beam stay on on low.

Asked by Jun 19, 2018 at 03:17 PM about the 2007 GMC Acadia SLE-1 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello.
The high beams on my girls 07 Acadia were out. O
changed the bulbs. But both high and low come on
, regardless of if you put on the high beams or not.
So even on low,  all four bulbs are going.

Any suggestions?

Double check that the proper bulb was selected for the replacement before tearing anything else apart.

I did. It's a h7.

Same issue with a 2010, I can’t even remember how many bulbs have been replaced. I’d had the vehicle for two years and started having the problems last year, I don’t understand why then? Nothing has changed, I had it n the shop (I had warranty THEN). They told me the harnesses were burned up and replaced those, came home and the bulb was out again by morning, That’s after driving home for maybe 20mins. So had to take it back. I think I done this like 4 times. I finally told them to order GM harnesses and try it. They done fine for about 7-8 months and AGAIN I have a light out: The need a recall on this, It’s a road hazard and complete BS. Maybe you can try the harnesses (from gm) and have better luck.
