My mechanic did not put enough oil in my Lexus IS250. Does this cause damage

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Mechanic shorted my car 1 quart oil.  That was corrected but since then it
appears as though around 4,000 miles I am down 1 quart.  It does not appear
as though I'm burning oil and I'm definitely not leaking oil.  Any ideas?  I have
110,000 miles on the car but other than that it's in mint condition

Missing 1 quart is no big deal. I wouldn't worry about it.

It states that in the owner’s manual, specifically; anything over 1.1qt per 600 miles is considered excessive. So with that you seems to be ok...

In addition to my previous answer. Using 1 quart in 4,000 miles with 110,000 miles is pretty good in my opinion. Not a thing to worry about.

Thanks, I love then car, it's in mint condition and I really want to keep it a while longer. So your answer helps a great deal.
