For a vehicle that old I might focus more toward the solenoid or maybe even the alternator not charging you back up

Take it to auto store and have them load test battery and check charging system for free. A bad battery can be charged but still be bad

Focus on the not starting issue. 1) battery should be around 12.5v, not running. 2) battery with engine running, 13.5v, maybe close to 14v. 3) on clicking when trying to start, if battery checks out, the starter, starter solenoid or starter relay is bad. You can check the relay by swapping it for another in the system. Normally, power windows, a/c and starter are the same. Check part number first. Then swap one to see what happens.

If you have to jump start from another vehicles battery, then your battery is most likely the issue. But again, check with a voltmeter or take it to the local auto parts store and have them help you.

So i jumped it went to town. To auto parts and started over heating obd said low power battery 10.2 volts i did not make it to auto parts it hit 3/4 hot i killed it

My Overland had a short in the positive cable going to the starter midway down the cable where the cable's insulation was rubbed down. When it was cold, it would click, when it was warm out, it would intermittently start. I had to jump start mine and could get it started. Tested the battery, alternator and the starter all good.
