2006 jeep commander rear drive shaft

Asked by Frank1959 May 04, 2014 at 11:47 AM about the 2006 Jeep Commander Base 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why can you not repair the universal joint in a 4.7 litre 2006 jeep commander rear drive
shaft? And if you can were can I buy the joints? A second hand one is $450. That's the
cheapest I found. Please help a guy out.

Everyone and anyone who is having issues with their Jeep NEEDS to file a complaint with the NHTSA! This is the only way this issue is going to be resolved. We can cry all we want on these forms, but with enough complaints a recall will be issued! I know it sucks because I have all these issues, but PLEASE FILE A COMPLAINT! http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchResults
