Will my "Rebuilt" Illinois title change to "Used" when it is retitled by new owner ?

No. A rebuilt title means that the vehicle was a total insurance loss vehicle then repaired to be roadworthy again. Unfortunately this vehicle will have a branded title the rest of it's life. HTH. -Jim

It will also need an inspection when new owner transfers title into his/her name. Most states require that to be done by the state police, which can take days or even weeks to get on their schedule.
