what's going on my water pump

ok I have a 2000 Buick Regal and I was
driving and it started to get warm it didn't
overheat but it started to get a little bit
warm and when I got home it was hissing
and steaming a little bit at the water pump
how do I no if me water pump is good

Well I think it you start your car and open the raideator cap an you can see if it is citculatain the water I am not sure but sounds good that is what I'd do Hope that helps
