Theres actauly two knock sensors. On located behind the started, and the other one behind the ehaust manifold.

This engine sits sideways so do you mean "behind" as in the front is where the serpentine belt is and the back is where the trans-axle is? Or "behind" as in the dashboard side (back of engine compartment) and "front" the radiator side. Or did you mean I need to remove the starter/manifold to get to them? This engine is totally new to me, but I do like to do my own work so any help is great. The Haynes Manual doesn't mention them.

I would really recommend going over to EBAY and getting a factory service manual for your car. They are a little higher than Haynes but there is no comparison. They generally come in a set of two or three.
