Have a 2003 Buick Park Ave. when cold and driving the car stalls, have to put in neutral and restart. Even then it acts as though it wants to stall again.

After initial start up car will idle fine, but once put into gear it wants to stall out. Once you are on the road car still act as though it wants to stall until you accelerant.

Sounds like you need a plain old tune-up, spark plugs (maybe) plug wires, check timing, fuel filter especially. All the regular maintenance necessary to keep it tip- top. There are just to many variables to try to list here

Has had plugs and wires changed. Tranny has been rebuilt. Oil changed. Fuel filter is new. Was hoping I might have a bad sensor somewhere.

does it idle very rough? if soo are all sparkplugs firing? could be the ignition module(under the coils).

Check the manifold vacuum while idling and check fuel pressure.
