computer fial ????????????

i have a 2006 z4 and the "computer" malfunctioned the seat belt,flat tire,engine lights all stay on and the speedometer doeskin work. The tach on the right side is fully functional. they say i have to change my computer for 2K what are they talking about and can i get around this! thank you Darryl

How old is your battery and does it hold a charge? It sounds like a typical low battery freak out of the system. Try unhooking negative connection to battery. Wait a while and charge battery and reconnect and see what happens.

Agree with Scott. If it is the original battery it is time to get a new one. Also clean all the battery terminals before putting them back on.

the DSC unit is toast, they ordered a new one from Germany i will have the car back in two weeks 2500.00 @!#!%$!$@% dollars later!!!!!
