Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a 2004 Volvo s60 2.5T Turbo. I have a check engine light for (P0134). I
got the sensor and the connection wire is roughly 10 inches long. I went under
the vehicle and was only able to locate an o2 sensor on top of the catalytic
converter with a wire that is about 2 feet long. Do you have any idea where it
can be located?

I am thinking they gave you the downstream 02 sensor that has a shorter wire. The upstream 02 sensor has the longer cable.

The part number came back as the upstream one, which is why I'm confused.

Ok now I went and looked at this closer, and noticed there are different length call outs. Best take the one you want to replace and bring it in to match up. The 02 that you are looking for is before the catalytic converter, more towards the engine side.

Ok Now I looked at the exhaust systems for this, the 02 that you are looking for is at the bottom of the exhaust manifold that comes off the engine. Then there is a cat.that hooks directly up the the manifold. The 02 is right ahead of that cat, bottom of exhaust manifold off the engine.

Would you be able to provide a picture of the exhaust system that you're looking at?

I am not having luck with this. The exhaust manifold comes off of the side of the engine and is the area on the engine that gets extremely hot. looks like tubes pointing down that if you were to look from underneath at the exhaust, it would run up to it in the engine bay.

Okay thank you, I understand. I will give it a look. There is a good number of things blocking my view from that angle so I will begin to remove it over this week and see what I can come up with. Thank you for the help.

It is where the exhaust connects to the engine from underneath, right above that connection is the 02 sensor.
