R134 a. It can be purchased at most retail parts chains in easy to use cans. However the system was not designed to leak. So if you are low on or out of refrigerant you should have the system checked.

R134a just like most other modern cars. Any basic R134a from Walmart or auto stores will work just fine. Check your capacity specs on the sticker under the hood.
