Gas Mileage.

Asked by Marcus May 29, 2008 at 09:20 AM about the 1993 Volvo 940 Wagon

Question type: General

I need to know how many miles would a 940 run on a full tank. It says in the manual that the gas tank is full at about 19.8 gallons, so I need to know how many miles it would run on a full tank.

Thanks.

Hi, I get between 21-26 depending on the air con on/off and the driving conditions town/high way. But mine is a 2L manual.

I get around 400 miles per tank, that's mixed driving, mostly back roads. Ive got a 94 sedan, turbo, intake, and custom canned exhaust. The cars great. I also noticed that with higher grades of gas the car responds better and is more efficient. I got a heavy foot, but she scoots along well for 225k

I have a 1993 940 wagon. Non Turbo. This car has a 19.8 gallon gas tank and will usually get between 20-25 mpg in mixed driving. My old 1991 740 would usually get between 23-28 mpg in mixed driving, and this is with 226K miles on it. Volvo recommends 91(RON) or better fuel. And you do notice the difference when you run 87.
