Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1998 Tahoe won't turn over. Battery, cables,
and starter are good clean and tight. Turn key and
get loud click sound, all lights and radio work just
fine.

Sounds like the starter just because the connections to it are clean and tight does not mean it is good. Try this tapping on starter and have someone try starting the vehicle at the same time if it starts replace starter. Now if the vehicle still does not start does not mean it is not the starter still can be. Remove starter and have it tested.

I had the starter tested 3 times at two different places and passed all test and I also tried hitting it with my buddy starting it. I'm at a lost

The next thing to check is the teeth on the fly wheel if you can spin the motor over a little with a rachet, extension and socket on the crankshaft bolt then try starting vehicle. Maybe a bad spot on the flywheel.

And of course if you try to spin the motor and it does not move does not mean the motor is seized up could be the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid could be bad. Some vehicles you can unplug the solenoid but some are inside of the transmission.

I haven't tried this yet. But scares me. I have carpal tunnel and money is tight. Thank you for your help. I'll see what I can do.

The only thing I can say is it has to be the starter. I know you had it tested and all but that is the only thing I can come up with.
